hela Sverige We have an immediate opening for a Research Engineer at the Bleaching Chemicals Process RD&I department in Bohus, Sweden.
As Research Engineer you will participate in and lead projects and other activities within Process RD&I, focusing on developing bleaching chemical processes in our own research facilities and in the plants. You will support the build-up of knowledge around our products, processes and applications, and contribute with your competence to other organisations within PPC.
This is a temporary position for one year and is an opportunity to work within a priority area for the BU with challenges critical to further improve our competitiveness and profitability.
Main responsibilities
• Provide chemical engineering expertise and contribute to the development of new bleaching chemical processes, products and applications.
• Participate in and/or lead projects and other activities within Process RD&I
• Ensure that appropriate methods and equipment are used for experiments and if necessary develop new methods and adapt equipment.
• Independently evaluate, report and present results, both internally and externally.
• Prepare technical basis for commercial decisions and act as expert in defined area.
• Maintain and build good knowledge of processes chemistry and technology.
• Actively follow the industrial and scientific development within the area of responsibility through contacts with universities and institutes to acquire new knowledge and ideas and identify threats.
• Develop and maintain an internal and external network.
• Support production, Eka Engineering, Projects & Engineering and sales department in the daily work or in specific projects.

• Master of Science in chemistry/chemical engineering or equivalent
• At least 3-4 years of relevant job experience
• Experience of managing small to medium sized projects
• Methodical, results oriented and quality-driven
• Team player with good communication skills
• Good ability to document and present results
• Fluent in English
