Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Monitoring trends in the area of Artificial Intelligence
Scouting on trending industry fairs and conferences
Leading explorative initiatives in this domain
Implementing new technologies on VCE machines
Guarantee smooth transfer to market introduction
Creating an academia network in this area
Supervising Student- and Thesis workers
Keep connected to Volvo Group efforts
Close collaboration with the research Programs

Required competencies, personal skills and experience
Preferably PHD degree computer sciences or electrical engineering
Profound knowledge of programming, e.g. Matlab, Phyton, C/C++/C#
Knowledge in machine learning, reinforcement learning, computational vision, AI search techniques, decision trees, and similar
Knowledge in Tensorflow, Caffe, OpenCV, OpenGL, CUDA, and similar
Knowledge of automotive or vehicle systems engineering
Knowledge of CAN/Ethernet communication
Analytic skills working with big data
Fluent in English (verbally and written)
Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
Willingness to travel occasionally
Evaluation of new concepts
Positive attitude ("let's do it" mentality)
