The Section Global Research and Development is represented at four locations. In Americas our labs are based in Bridgewater and Croton River, respectively and in EMEIA in Deventer, the Netherlands and in Stenungsund, Sweden, respectively. The sections main responsibility is to drive long term research and development in the form of projects, prioritized by the business unit managing team. Furthermore the section has under its responsibility to drive applied research in the form of technology platforms.
We have an opening for a Research Chemist position within our EMEIA team, based in Stenungsund, Sweden. This is a temporary position with starting date in September, and duration until June 30, 2015. In your role as Research Chemist you will be reporting to Manager EMEIA, Global research and development.
In the role as Research Chemist you will:
• Perform individual experimental lab work
• Independently run assignments in accordance with prioritizations in actual project(s)
• Proactively communicate results and suggestions to the project leader(s) and project team(s)
• Participate in project meetings, discussions and brainstorms
We also believe that you will actively contribute to the safety and order in our lab, and have a strong focus on the Health, Safety and the Environment.
Job requirements / Candidate profile
To be successful in this position you hold at least a BSc, with a few years of work experience, in Chemistry or related field with emphasis on organic and/or surface chemistry. In addition, you have good skills regarding practical lab work and usage of relevant working equipment.
On a personal level you are proactive and enjoy working practically towards continuous improvements. You have good communication and interpersonal skills, are fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
