We are strengthening our Finance team and are looking for an additional Accountant who wants to be a part of our exciting journey to develop, digitize and streamline our financial processes. You will independently handle the monthly and annual book closing for a few of our larger legal entities within Northern Offshore Group. This includes daily accounting, monthly book closing as well as the year end accounting. You will be part of the Finance department which consist of a team of dedicated Accountants and Accounting Assistants responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for our entities in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and UK.

Responsible for the day-to-day accounting.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Execution of monthly and annual book closing, secure that accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with internal and external requirements.
Liaising with company auditor and assisting them in the audit process.
Preparation and submission of VAT and other statutory tax declarations and statistics.
Participate in developing the finance department when it comes to optimization of accounting processes and accounting software.
Compile various ad-hoc financial reports as required.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate who has an education within in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting. You have solid accounting skills and board experience of financial reporting, preferably in an international environment. You have a minimum of 5 years experience from an auditing firm or as an Accountant, where you have independently managed all steps in the monthly and annual book closing. Experience from the shipping industry is an asset.
You are an advanced user of Excel. N-O-S is using Jeeves as ERP-system and Insight as BI tool and previous experience of Jeeves is an advantage.
To succeed in this position, you are positive by nature and have a prestigeless and service minded approach. You enjoy teaming up and collaborating with your Finance colleagues as well as colleagues from other departments. You have an eye for details, are structured and thorough with numbers. To thrive in this role you are solution oriented and enjoy working in an expanding and fast-paced environment. You are fluent in both a Scandinavian language and English.
You will report to our Finance Manager.
Terms of employment
This position will start as soon as possible. You will be based at our office in Gothenburg, Sweden or Kastrup, Denmark. This is a permanent employment with a probationary period of six months.
