Husqvarna is looking for global a trainee within the R&D department who will be based in Huskvarna, Sweden, for the first assignment. You will be part of an international 2-year trainee program, which offers four 6-month rotations, including one assignment abroad, combined with relevant training modules. You will receive a permanent employment at Husqvarna Group.

Global Trainee Program - Your future challenge!
You will be permanently employed as a member of the Husqvarna Group's team from day one. Upon completion of the program, our ambition is to assign the trainee to a leadership position Manufacturing Strategy Department This is a huge opportunity for the trainee to be part of an international company to work with exciting and new projects and execute them all by him-/herself with the support from a senior member of management as coach.
The results of the Trainee's work will be noticeable in the organization since he/she will have great responsibility.
Department and role
The Trainee will belong to the Global Development department for Hand Held Products. The interface structure will be internal R&D groups such as lab, component groups, computing and motor development. Outside of the department the Trainee will also have a contact with purchasing, factory, quality among other areas. For this Trainee there is an opportunity to grow a career when working innovatively with attractive products and international assignments, contacts and customers. There is also a possibility for the Trainee to include personal interests in his/her own agenda.
This is a broad role with different responsibilities and will depend on the current status and situation in the department. The trainee will most likely be practicing construction and testing, build network and gain experience from surrounding functions, etc. For example, job tasks within R&D include:
• Act as the technical leader of a project
• Act as the organizer of all R&D activities in product development process Manufacturing strategy development
• Be the owner of technical specification and negotiation with product stakeholder
• Report technical status to steering team meetings
• Be responsible for technical risk management
• Be the leader for the allocated R&D project team (design, testing, simulation, specialist)
Who you are
Qualifications
• Master's degree within mechanical engineering, engineering physics or other similar orientation with a maximum of 1 year work experience
• Ability to lead and manage projects
• Participation in manufacturing related projects (in university, e.g. thesis)
• Studies for 1 year abroad is meriting
• Worked alongside studies with work related to R&D (engineering/lab etc.) is beneficial
• Used or is affiliated with Husqvarna's products in the past or even better, a User him-/herself
Characteristics
The ideal trainee is a self-motivated, creative problem-solver who enjoys teamwork and networking in an international environment. Additionally, you must also demonstrate a strong desire to add value and to learn, as well as possess strong analytical and organizational skills to effectively follow multiple parallel projects. Other characteristics that are important to possess are:
• Strong interest of R&D and passion for technical solutions
• Driven and high level of energy.
• Interest and ability to become a strong leader in the organization
• Able to make decisions with great responsibility
• Very meriting with a genuine interest in engines and understand the products and the construction
