As part of our mission to enable the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way we have presented the new EX90, EX30 and EM90, our second-generation battery electric vehicles. The EX90 is powered by an in-house designed battery, developed by our great battery team in Gothenburg. To follow this, we are now working on the 3rd generation electric vehicle batteries that will propel our future products. Our aim is to master cell technology to fully understand how the battery cell design and materials influence the cell attributes performance, safety, durability, sustainability, quality, and cost. We balance the cell attributes and optimize the cell utilization in vehicle.

What you will do

• Coordinate the risk assessment for an identified problem and the root cause analysis
• Maintain a pipeline for continuous improvements within cell quality
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders relevant for the cell quality
• Work closely with project management to ensure implementation of lessons learned
• Owning quality history statistics for both, during development and production, and together with the analyses team secure the reporting and quality dashboards
• Taking on the responsibility for the predictive maintenance analysis and coordination from cell hardware perspective
• Support and ensure systematic D-FMEA with all suppliers and develop internal generic D-FMEA handbook

What you will bring

We are looking for a Quality engineer with experience in working proactively with quality related matters and shares our passion for battery cell technology. To thrive in this role, you need to appreciate interaction with different internal and external stakeholders, enjoy in sharing information and knowledge with your colleagues and work in a collaborative and progressive way.
Requirements for this role would be:
• Master Degree within Mechanical Design, Material Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience as quality engineer preferable at vehicle OEM/Battery Supplier/Cell Supplier
• Strong knowledge in Lean and 6 Sigma methodology, e.g. DMAIC/8D, SPC
• Knowledge in quality, risk assessments and FMA/FMEA
• Some experience or knowledge about development and cell productions is meritorious
