hela Sverige SKF IT provides strategic IT support to the SKF organization by developing sound strategies and managing selected service providers. We have presence in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
This position is responsible for supporting the SKF Demand Chain & Supply Chain business processes by managing and continuously improve provided IT business system services, with focus on securing that system and SW updates meet new business requirements and are deployed in a controlled manner, while ensuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) year-on-year unit cost reductions.
Your day-to-day work
• Maintain and develop the Supply Chain Planning & Optimization system services, mainly a new system (QMPS) provided by Quintiq software supplier.
• Manage suppliers providing services in the Application Management area and follow-up SLA's.
• Manage the change process for given systems, by reviewing business requirements from a technology perspective, ensuring compliance with IQSM and SICS processes and make recommendations of new systems and improvements of existing systems.
• Accountable towards the SKF business for, but not directly responsible for, the follow-up of agreed incident and availability SLAs.
This job will also include to secure quality of SW code and configurations from overseeing the development and testing of new SW, to participate in medium-to-large projects in Subject Matter Expert (SME) roles, providing application knowledge, and in smaller projects/activities act in Work Package Manager roles, providing leadership competencies and application knowledge. You will also drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) year-on-year unit cost reductions of the total service stack, and throughout the SW life cycle.
You will travel frequently in this position.
We expect you to have
• BS in IT Technology or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application management, IT consulting, systems integration or system development role.
• Project Management experience.
• Proven contractual and negotiation skills to cooperate with suppliers and customers.
• You are fluent when it comes to speaking and writing English.
It would be beneficial if you also had a good understanding of financial processes related to the application SW area, Proven capability to translate business needs into IT services and solutions and Knowledge of the SKF Demand and Supply Chain business processes, and/or the existing SKF IT environment.

Additional information for you
The position holder will report to SKF IT Business Process Solution Demand Chain, and should be located preferably in Gothenburg, Sweden or in any of the major SKF sites in Europe (Schweinfurt, Germany - Airasca, Italy - Saint Cyr, France).
