Opera Software's Consumer Engineering QA team has a challenging opening for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer. The department is responsible for testing a variety of internal and external
systems including Web applications, widgets, and Opera's burgeoning community site (My.Opera.com).
Responsibilities
Using your experience from several completed projects and often working independently, you will drive the quality of several new and high profile consumer applications. This will involve working
closely with developers, developing manual and automated tests, exploratory testing, and following up on bug reports.
• Testing a wide variety of existing and new systems. Systems include the Opera Community, our Intranet, and Web applications.
• Writing automated test suites
• Tracking issues and coordinating with developers
Requirements
• Experience with Perl/Python
• A knack for finding bugs and problems in other people's software
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Good working knowledge of English, written and spoken
• Good knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• A quality-oriented testers's mind
