The Project purchaser will have an important role in ensuring component supply to our NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and keep tight control over components cost. The project purchaser will make a big difference to Axis ability to introduce a new product with correct supply chain from start, are you the one we are looking for?
This role will be located with the rest of the small Axis Ex team at Maskinvägen 1, Lund.
Who is your future team?
The Axis Ex team is crucial to the growth of Axis's new EX-products. The team is responsible for the production of the finished products according to our quality certifications, as well as all prototyping in development projects in this area.

What you'll do here as Project Purchaser:
The project purchaser is responsible for supporting all new EX-product development projects regarding sourcing related tasks, from concept phase until hand over for volume production.
You will work very close with our Axis Ex Industrial Lead and together you represent Axis Ex in development projects. This means that you will have to be pragmatic and sometimes also manage other than project purchasing tasks depending on the needs in different projects.
In your work you will daily be working close with other departments, e.g., Commodity Management, Sourcing Engineering, Purchasing as well as R&D.
The task is to create best possible prerequisites for a competitive, reliable and efficient supply chain.
In more detail, you will:
* Evaluate quotes and decide which suppliers to use in new projects together with Commodity Managers and R&D. Make sure each component has correct price from start.
* Place purchase orders and order follow up towards suppliers for components and materials to secure prototype build and production ramp-up.
* Review and estimate BOM (Bill Of Material) in term of costs, multi-source alternatives.
* Have close cooperation with our component suppliers as well as manufacturing partners to secure best prerequisites for flexible supply chain and minimizing future risks for disruptions.
The position might require 5-10 days of travelling a year.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We believe that you are a relationship builder who enjoys working together in a team. You are analytic, well-structured and result oriented with a keen interest in the business. At the same time you are humble and ready to do different tasks needed in the team.
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
* A degree in Industrial Economy, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar
* Knowledge about electronics and mechanical market dynamics
* Basic technical knowledge about electronics and mechanical components and their functionality
* Minimum 2 years of purchasing/sourcing experience from international companies
* Excellent MS Office skills
* Excellent skills in English and Swedish, both orally and in writing
