hela Sverige RISE Research Institutes of Sweden is looking for a project manager with focus on creature creation for the gaming industry as part of the Swedish AI factory (Mimer). The role requires solid experience in project management with focus on digital assets and 3D-animation.
About us RISE's Computer Science department is Sweden's leading hub for AI and computing innovation. We design sustainable, high-performance systems that push the limits of applied science - from next-generation data centers to advanced AI pipelines. You will be joining a unit working with datacenters, edge computing, AI and digital pipelines. Together with partners and customers from industry and academia we develop sustainable systems at the frontier of applied science. About MIMER MIMER is Sweden's AI Factory - a complete ecosystem for AI creation, testing, and deployment. Whether it's breathing life into game characters, training autonomous systems, or accelerating discoveries in life sciences, MIMER gives innovators access to:
• High-performance computing for massive AI model training - World-class AI scientists and engineers - Curated datasets, advanced tools, and collaborative platforms - Immersive workshops and skill-building programs - Support to bring ideas from lab to market About the role You will manage projects with agile teams of researchers and experts with diverse backgrounds and a shared passion for bringing the benefits of AI to societal benefit through training, mentoring, consulting and hands-on proof-of-concept projects. The role involves close collaboration and coordination with Linköpings universitet, which is the host organisation, as well as other countries' AI factories. You will contribute to the execution of parts of the development and implementation of the AI Factory strategy, including the development of the service portfolio with focus on game development, establishing collaborations and identifying new user communities. The location for this position is Luleå. The task will involve travels, mainly within Sweden and EU. About you You have experience in VFX, digital assets, gaming, or other creative tech industries. You are skilled at managing complex creative-technical projects with many moving parts. You are comfortable speaking the language of both artists and engineers. Requirements: * Minimum of 5 years experience of working with large 3D animation projects including creature creation and digital assets * MSc in computer graphics, computer animation or related areas. * Experience of managing complex projects * Excellent communication skills in English * Strong communication and team working skills
