Parts & Service is a function within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for reduce downtime and increase profitability for the bus owner/owners. Aftermarket Project Management is a function within Parts & Service, represented in Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, Poland and India.
We are now looking for Aftermarket Project Managers who have the passion to drive maintainability, maximize Uptime for our customers and secure future business for VBC.
As an Aftermarket Project Manager you will lead the aftermarket team from project initiation to the end of the project. You will secure the aftermarket deliveries in projects from our functions: Spare Parts Engineering & Information, Service Engineering & Information Management, Diagnostics & Embedded Systems, Aftermarket Products and Global Service Training. You will represent the aftermarket area in the Project Management Group/Team. You will lead, plan and secure aftermarket activities to meet agreed project QDCF targets (Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature).
• Represent the aftermarket in the project management team lead by the CPM (Chief Project Manager) or PML (Product Maintenance Leader)
• Manage the aftermarket project team
• Proactively leading, driving and following-up the aftermarket delivery of the project according to the DVP project handbook and decided support processes
• Manage risk to minimize impact on project, pro-actively escalate risks and concerns outside project team control to line management
• Make all decisions needed, within delegated QDCF frames, established in cooperation with the Aftermarket Reference Group, to reach the project targets and requirements
• Take an active role in developing future ways of working, with an end user and customer mind set

Required knowledge/experience:
• Master degree in engineering or equivalent
• Experience in project management
• Proven track record in delivering vs set targets at agreed time
• Experience from working in cross-functional teams
• An interest in aftermarket development
• Understanding of the aftermarket business and workshop environment and needs
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to coach and lead in a challenging environment
• Pro-active and open mind set
• Strong team player, self-starter and the ability to take initiatives
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships in a positive way
• Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
