The International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) is an international organization launched in 2005, following a proposal from the Global Science Forum of the OECD to establish international coordination and collaborative informatics - and currently has 18 member countries across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. INCF establishes and operates scientific programs to develop standards for neuroscience data sharing, analysis, modeling and simulation while coordinating an informatics infrastructure designed to enable the integration of neuroscience data and knowledge world worldwide and catalyze insights into brain function in health and disease.

Key Functions:
We are looking for a highly organized, results-oriented and experienced Project Manager to be responsible for part of a large international clinical project on Traumatic Brain Injury. INCF is leading the project's data management, from data collection to analysis platform development.

This is a part-time employment of 60%, however a 100% employment rate may possible for the right candidate. The positions initially lasts for 1 year, with good possibility for prolongation.

The successful candidate needs to be a self-starter with excellent communication and diplomacy skills. Inter-personal skills are essential and we emphasize the person's ability to interact with staff at all levels. The position requires ability to work flexibly and at times unsociable hours. Candidate must be willing to travel approximately 10%. Area of responsibilities/duties:
• Create and manage project plans to track the progress of projects for part of a large
international project.
• Function as liaison between different subproject leaders and external contractors
• Create, communicate and follow up on action items and key deliverables through their
completion
• Ensure timely documentation and communication of decisions and updates on timelines and
deliverables.
• Evaluate and solve project issues, delays and problems
• Schedules meetings with internal teams
• Report to the project's Management Committee comprising collaborators in several EU countries
• Budgeting and EU project reporting
• Coordination of a distributed working group focused on data management

Education/experience required:
One or more of the following:
• PhD in Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, or other scientific field, with a minimum 3 years of project management experience; or MSc with a minimum of 5 years of project
management experience.
• Experience in management of large collaborative scientific projects
• IT project management in large collaborative projects

Skills Required:
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent and proven team-working ability
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex collaborative projects and cross-functional teams
• Superior verbal and written communication skills in English
Skills Desirable:
• General knowledge of IT development and data management
• Experience with clinical research, and international clinical trials an asset
• Effectively capable to multi-task, establish priorities, and work in fast-paced environment
• Experience with managing legal contracts
• Experience handling regulatory issues in Europe
• Experience dealing with IT security issues
• EU project reporting
