Project Leader Speech & Languages
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As PROJECT LEADER SPEECH & LANGUAGES you will be a part of the infotainment department. We are responsible for specifying, developing and verifying systems and components within the infotainment area. You will work with the latest technology in order to reach the future characteristics and requirements in a very exciting field.
The group you will belong to, Infotainment Platform, ICM and RSE, is responsible for components such as Infotainment Master Node (ICM) and Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) in the current car system as well as feature teams for infotainment platform and speech & language.
We are now looking for an experienced feature team leader who will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team with 8-9 individuals, with function, system, HMI and verification responsibility. You will have the responsibility for the system solution and you will be key a player in defining where feature and function will be allocated in what node. This means, you will have many contact interfaces both within Volvo Cars as well as with suppliers.
Job profile:
• Controlling and leading supplier deliveries and implementation of specifications
• Integration planning for features/functions
• Status reports of your feature team with regards to function implementation towards project plan
• Performing and documenting system - FMEA
• Defining component demands in the defined system solution
• Delivering system specifications
• Initiating and performing reviews of proposed system solutions
• Securing verification of approved system solution
• Leading weekly team meetings
• Drive for results in a structured way
Your profile:
• MSc in Electrical and/or Software engineering
• At least 5 years experience from Project Management within electrical and/or software projects
• Experience from product development
• Experience in leading teams and teamwork oriented
• Experience in working in an international environment
• High level of energy and strong verbal and writing communication skills in English and Swedish
• Preferably knowledge within the described field
• Knowledge of visual planning
• Infotainment experience is preferred
• Driving license B
