hela Sverige Northvolt has an opportunity for a Project Director to join our passionate and growing in-house Factory Programs team supporting the establishment of our first giga-factory in Skellefteå.
In joining us, you will play an important part in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society.
The Project Director will have the highest level of project management activities. In this role you will manage a complete project delivery team and have full accountability and responsibility for the project's activities and delivery, including engineering design, construction, commissioning, procurement, HSE, Quality, schedule and budget.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops, oversees and executes the project, including all departments from engineering to construction and commissioning
Ensures the project is delivered on time, within budget and adhering to Northvolt HSE and Quality requirements through mitigating risk, managing resources, opportunities and changes
Facilitates interface management and reviews cost projections/change orders, anticipated "pending" costs and schedule updates
Guarantees the achievement or improvement of Profit & Loss forecasts
Leads the making of important technical decisions and continuously challenges engineering companies/sub-contractors to perform and optimize on deliverables

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have:
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or 20 years' experience in project management roles in the design and construction of large-scale, complex industrial projects
Successful track record of leading and growing large multi-cultural and interdisciplinary teams
Experience working on multi-billion-dollar projects
Experience from working in international projects/different countries
Greenfield and/or brownfield project experience
Ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency in a high pressure, tight deadline environment
Excellent English skills, additional languages a plus
