What you will be a part of
Industrial Products and Services, IPS, one business area within Saab is divided of several business units. Avionics Systems, is one business unit within IPS, develops and manufactures qualified electronics, mechanics and software for demanding applications in aircrafts and helicopters.
Within Avionics Systems, we have several Product Areas with the main responsibility to develop subsystems and products. This includes safe-guarding core competencies and technologies for these products over time. Our Product Areas have full responsibility for business result and the related products.
The Product Area portfolio is divided into Product Units that have responsibility to manage subsystems, product programs and projects. Responsibility also includes managing quotations, sales and contract management/support. Several Product Areas/Product Units within Avionics, needs to grow with experienced Project Managers going forward.
Your role
We are searching for individuals who can show accountability and personal responsibility for delivery and execution. We think you are an experienced project manager. This implies responsibility for contracts, economy, external and internal milestones, quality, follow-up on progress and budgets, planning and reporting to steering committees and interaction with line managers. Participate in quotation work in which you shall be able to act as a BID manager, and to interact with market and sales organization.
Your skills and experience
We are searching for experienced people within the Program and Project Management area. We believe that you to be stress tolerant, social competent, having senior experience managing projects, focused on to deliver within committed time frames and budget. You have a helicopter view rather than interest of technical details. Focus on customer and have capacities in tactics as well as strategic issues and sets clear priorities what at a specific moment needs to be prioritized and ability to take decisions to reach profit and established goals. Leads team members assigned to the project by using appropriate leadership techniques. Establishes objectives and goals and provides direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment Identifies and works with functions to resolve resource constraints. Elevates concerns to leadership team to assist with resource constraint resolution. You possess good knowledge in expressing yourself, verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years’ of Program or project Management experience or combination of Engineering and Product Development
Leadership skills
Capability to lead change in an Integrated Team environment across multiple sites and customers globally.
Experience with Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools
Good communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated analytical skills and business acumen
