hela Sverige Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries, with machines, hard metal tools, service and technical solutions for the extraction and crushing of rock and minerals.
In the SMC Supply Chain, four different process areas are defined, one of which is the production process. There a many ongoing change initiatives within SMC Supply Chain and we have a strong need to improve our performance and harmonize the way of working within the production process. The production is characterized by both assembly of equipment and manufacturing of tools and consumables. We are now looking for two Production Process Developers to be located in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As Production Process Developer you main tasks will include:
• Developing and defining best practice processes within production
• Placing requirements on IT solutions (e.g. ERP, MES, collaboration tools etc.), in order to support above processes
• Assisting and coaching the local production organizations in the use of the processes and the theories behind them
• Planning and running change initiatives within a local production organization to implement new processes
• Running general investigations in the supply chain
• Auditing compliance and performance of used processes
As there will be many contacts with local organizations at various geographical locations, frequent travelling will be required.
Your profile
You have at least a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. materials, manufacturing, logistics etc.) and related experience within production and/or material management. Experience of LEAN manufacturing is advantageous as is experience of Team Center. You have a good understanding of supporting systems for production environment such as ERP/MES/WMS, etc. and you are committed to delivering and meeting deadlines.
As a person you have good problem solving capabilities, a strong analytical mind and the ability to handle complex issues. You have a desire to develop professionally and obtain the required results through teamwork. Furthermore, you have good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage, influence and motivate stakeholders at all levels. You are fluent in both written and spoken English.
