As a Production IS/IT Developer, you will be a part of the Production IS/IT team at ABB Electrification, Smart Power Manufacturing Unit Västerås. This team is aiming to implement pioneering technology in relation to Manufacturing 4.0/5.0, adopting to best practices of industrial digitalization. As a Produc-tion IS/IT Developer you will be a member of an agile team and will be working in cross-functional teams to increase the digital maturity in our operations and ensure IS resilience.
This position reports to: Production IS/IT Manager.
Your responsibilities
Designing and developing digital solutions for operations, mainly in relation to our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Designing and customizing graphical user interfaces.
Configurating integrations between applications but also between applications and equipment's in production.
Following best software development practices to ensure a high quality product and great user experience.
Working in a cross discipline team, using agile development methodology that requires active participation in all team activities.
Participating in the whole software development lifecycle from analysis, design via implementation, testing to delivery, following best DevOps practices.
Contributing throughout the development lifecycle, as this team is fully responsible for digital development and delivery.
Participate in improving overall IS resilience and support production.

Your background
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Experiences working in agile teams (nice to have: Azure DevOps experience).
Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
Hands-on experiences in C#.
Experiences working with Git (nice to have: unit testing experience).
Understanding of web libraries and Angular framework.
Basic understanding of web markup (e.g., HTML5).
Basic understanding of JavaScript built tools (e.g., Gulp).
Basic knowledge of network infrastructure.
Interest in investigating and identifying complex technical issues with software applications.
Willing to learn new technologies and implement new solutions!
Deep interest in Lean Manufacturing and Factory 4.0/5.0.

Expertise in these additional areas would bring value to the team: PowerShell, Command Line shell, .NET Core development, container technologies including Docker, Linux command line, SQL and writing SQL queries, RESTful web API design and development, data modeling, optimization and cyber physical systems (e.g., IoT, machine learning/deep learning).
