We are now looking for a new colleague to the team who is passionate about manufacturing process and automation. As a Production Development Specialists, you will be located in Alingsås and belong to Cable Distribution Cabinets, a product group within ABB's Electrification business.
This position will provide you with opportunities and interesting challenges to enhance your career. You will be a key player in taking the organization to the next level by driving automation development and line improvement projects within the factory. You will be one of the driving forces to bring our production efficiency and sustainability to the next level, to secure our products and our planet in the future.
This position reports to Operations Finance Manager.
Your responsibilities
Accountable for that production processes comply with internal and external requirements.
Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies to improve the whole manufacturing process in terms of automation, safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
Identify and evaluate manufacturability of existing and new products.
Drive strategic initiatives and ideas inside the factory for a future sustainable production process
Responsible for appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials in support of production targets.
Identify, recommend and support implementations of improvement opportunities.

Your background
A Bachelor 's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
More than 3 years of experience in production or industrial engineering, other industrial experience is beneficial.
Experience in digitalization and automation is highly qualifying.
Excellent communication skills, as projects and problem solving will be handled cross-functional in the organization.
A collaborative team player with solution-oriented and structured mindset.
Strong commitment to contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Knowledge in SAP, PTC Windchill and CAD is desirable but not a requirement.

Cable Distribution Cabinets is a product group within ABB's Electrification business that develops, promotes and sells enclosures, fusegears and cable connectors which are a vital part of the low voltage distribution network. The products are mainly sold via wholesalers and OEMs in the Nordic countries, primarily to utilities, industrial and commercial building companies via ABB local sales organizations.
