The purpose of the Product Procurement Manager, as a member of the Product Family multi-disciplinary core team, is to drive the implementation of the BT Procurement & Supply chain strategy, Product material cost optimization, and assessment of all Procurement risks and mitigation actions to ensure flawless execution for the Product family under their responsibility in order to support BT competitive Product Families and competitive advantage in the market.
IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL:
• Support and align with Global Lead buyers the development of the Procurement & Supply chain strategy in to the Product Books
• Ensure procurement preparation and input in to pre-white book, white book and bid / no bid, gates process
• Working closely with commodity and Global lead buyers to ensure the Procurement and Supply Chain strategies are implemented in the Product Families to support the full Product life cycle commercially and technically (e.g.: Sourcing strategies, Supplier concentration, Localization strategies in different geographies)
• Ensure alignment of Product Family sourcing plan with BT Supplier panel and closing of all exceptions where applicable with the Global lead buyers
• Ensure and obtain a validated EBOM ( engineering bill of materials ) for Product Families & variants from Product engineering teams
• Co-ordinate and manage the bill of material ( BOM ) for the Product Families and all variants
• Drive and identify material cost reduction initiatives that cover the entire product life cycle to increase the competitiveness and competitive advantage of the Product Families and variants
• Ensure all Product Families and variants Procurement risks are identified with clear mitigation actions
• Ensures the BT Procurement Bid polices, processes and tools are implemented across the Product Family
• Ensures a hand over process in place to drive continuity from Product development to project execution with the designated Project Procurement Managers
• Contribute to the Blue Book process with Procurement bid teams and support Procurement Bid governance
• Engineering degree, commercial degree with technical background, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success
• Secondary degree such as MBA / MSC desirable
• 10 years' experience in Procurement, including strong exposure/experience to Project Management or Finance
• Solid technical knowledge of the different systems and materials used in our business or very pronounced interest to acquire this knowledge
• Solid knowledge of Life cycle material cost/Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach
• Strong people and interpersonal / communications skills
• International exposure
• English business fluent is mandatory for this role
• Willingness to travel up to 10% per year both internal and international
