At the moment we are looking for the right person to fill an open position as Product Manager, Axis Video Hosting System (AVHS) in our New Business organization.

What will you do?
Axis Video Hosting System (AVHS) is an offering from Axis that gives our customers the opportunity to run their surveillance system as a service in the Cloud. AVHS has created a huge interest in the market. In order to provide a first class product, we are now looking for a driven, enthusiastic and experienced Product Manager to define and roll out the offering, in close cooperation with our AVHS team.
As a Product Manager for AVHS you will have the main responsibility for our AVHS offering. You will manage the products development through strategic planning to tactical activities. You will work in close contact with dedicated people in both our R&D and Sales departments, to develop and maintain the product to fulfil our customer's needs. You will be responsible for realizing the customer needs by converting their need into a product roadmap.
As a Product Manager it is important to enjoy spending time in the market to understand their needs, and based on that specify innovative solutions for the market. You must have broad experience from both business and technology, preferably from the video surveillance industry.
You will work in a team with product specialists and you must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work closely with other product managers to secure a complete Axis product offering. You will work with project managers to define product requirements. You will work with the marketing department to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
Travelling will be required up to 40 days a year.
High level list of responsibilities:
• Excellent understanding of the competition and market needs
• Take an active part in market and sales activities to promote your products
• Define product strategy and roadmap for your product category
• Define products to meet and fulfill the strategy and roadmaps
Who are we looking for?
The right candidate has a bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years' experience as a product manager or other equivalent experience. You are knowledgeable in technology and have demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
We believe you have excellent understanding of business and market dynamics and have technical knowledge about network cameras and cloud solutions. You have proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and you communicate fluently in English.
As a person you're structured in the way of solving and attacking tasks and issues. You have a flexible mindset, enjoy high pace and are open to change. You are socially skilled and have the ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts and you're always open to customers and colleagues.
Our New Business Team
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The team is responsible for evaluating and prototyping new business ideas from both a technical and a commercial perspective. The team have both market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources. The team's focus is on ideas outside Axis current focus on Network Video. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which will require a flexible and open co-operation with R&D and other departments.
