Global Product Manager Large Pumps, Growth Center Transport

Our range of Large Pumps (3001 & 7000 series) consists of pumps ranging from 100-800 kW and is mainly used for waste water and storm water applications within the Public Utility segment but are also common in Industrial applications where high flow of water is needed like water intakes or cooling water.
We are the global market leader for this range of products which requires continues development of new features and product line extension to stay in that position. And now when our current Product Manager will move on to a new position within Xylem we are looking for a new person who is:
Result oriented and collaborative with a business mindset
The Global product Manager is responsible for managing, developing and driving profitable business growth for our Large Pump range. In this role you manage your products through the whole lifecycle by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and based on that defining the product roadmap and value proposition. You also have a close collaboration with R&D and our commercial teams to ensure delivering and introducing winning products to the market.

The main responsibility in your role is to:

* Develop strategy to maximize product line profitability
* Continuously monitor sales development and take action when deviating from plan
* Develop product portfolio roadmap covering product positioning and value proposition to serve as input into product development, resource allocation, business development and communications
* Manage the product life cycle (launch to end-of-life) strategy and execution
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development to drive next generation value propositions by a rigorously understanding of the need from our customers, VOC.
* Be responsible for the launch of new product or product features.
* Collaborate with local Sales companies and Marketing teams to understand rationale behind wins and losses and market trends
* Support local Sales companies in their daily business
* Conduct product and sales training
* Set strategic market price for new products and product features
* Monitor the product portfolio of our competitors.

Qualifications

You have a Master of Science or similar education. Experience from the water sector and pumping industry is a merit. Technical experience combined with business knowledge from marketing and/or sales gives you the right qualification. You are good in communication and fluent in English, both spoken and written.
