Product Manager - Fuel system

The group Fuel distribution within the section Fuel system is responsible for functions and systems connected to distribution of fuel and urea to the engine. We are also responsible for the functions Fuel and System Catalytic Reduction level indication and the components Fuel pump, Fuel Filters, Pump Electronic Module, Level sensor and Reductant Delivery Module. The group consists of 12 persons working as Function owners, System responsible, Component responsible, CAE analyst and Project management. We are a curious and supporting team with a high technical and functional interest.

As a Product Manager you will work and have responsibility for components over time. You work with the future strategy of components covering quality, cost and technology. You will be responsible for developing new requirements, advanced engineering, market analysis, perform benchmark, supplier base, and developing new products. You work close together with the project managers in our different programs and will be responsible for defining requirements, sourcing, handle deviations and follow up the component. To be as efficient as possible we want you to challenge lead-times and contribute to our future goals. You will be part of a technical network with several other roles such as system responsible, function owners and test engineers.

Daily work, responsibilities:

• Work with the strategic development of the component, quality, cost and technology
• Stay updated on competitors
• Handle program deviations or quality issues
• Be involved in sourcing and market-test
• Initiate new requests to suppliers, Engineering Statement of Work and Product Change Request
• Give recommendation to Supplier Request for Engineering Approval/Supplier Request for Industrial Change Approval from supplier
• Establish verification content (towards supplier and complete vehicle) and create requirements and verification methods

Required qualifications:

• B.Sc. university degree or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience within product development
• Strong technical competence with ability to understand our components and systems
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Experience or education in electrical areas is meritorious
• Experience from Design For Six Sigma is meritorious
• Driving license B
