The Visual Creative Group is responsible for developing and realizing the campaign ideas that you find in H&Ms windows and stores, all over the world. We are currently looking for a Product Developer who is passionate about technology and also has an eye for esthetics.
As Product Developer you are responsible for the product developing of window schemes and material for the indoor follow-up and to find solutions that are cost conscious, efficiently packed for a smooth logistic process and easy handling in our stores. Furthermore, the PD is responsible for the production of all information needed in the stores to execute the campaign in our windows/indoor.
In the role you work in collaboration with Creators as well as Buyers with the requirements and objectives set for sustainable product development. Together with these specialists, you are responsible for realizing the best possible campaigns for all of H&Ms stores. This role also requires close collaboration with our Production Office in Hong Kong.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Development of the campaign schemes for window/indoor corresponding to H&M's commercial,
quality and safety requirements.
• Securing the proper outcome of prototypes/outturn samples.
• Making drawings.
• Building up prototype set up in mock shop.
• Review scheme drawings and participate in the assessment and approval of prototypes.
• Keeping up to date / searching for new materials and alternative technologies.
• Educate creative professionals from a technical perspective.
• Communicate with Creators, Buyers and suppliers.
• Prepare and secure assembly information to the stores.
A successful candidate should have the following qualifications/experiences:
• Degree in design engineering, industrial design, other equivalent education and minimum of 3 years experience as Product Developer.
• Interest and experience from retail and working with store displays.
• Motivated to find simple and practical solutions to complex problems.
• Able to communicate technical solutions to others.
• A natural drive to achieve results and a strong track record in your roles so far.
• Possesses strong skills in understanding and improving ways of working (methodology, process).
• Administrative and communication skills.
• Good understanding of production processes and experience of working closely with suppliers.
• You have an environmentally conscious understanding.
• Skilled in using Adobe CS, Rhinoceros 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
