Would you like to be part of building the most sought-after streaming service in the Nordics? Awesome, we might have a challenge for you! We are now looking to strengthen our Stockholm based Validated Learning team with a Product Data Manager. If this is your request - send us your application today!
The position
As a Product Data Manager at Viaplay, you will be a part of shaping the future of entertainment by further enhancing our data-driven product development process. This is a critical role for us to optimise user and business value. You will be part of Team Validated Learning, with the mission to enable team autonomy to understand our user's intent and how they interact with our product. This enables the organisation as a whole to create the most outstanding user experience. We believe in distributed analysis and we do this by providing access to actionable information about user needs and how our product is used.
The challenge ahead
As we are about to build our own platforms for tracking and experiments, we have reached the point where the organisational change in mindset is one of the most challenging areas. This is an opportunity to coach the product teams to define the "what" and "why" for the user behaviour tracking, and to decide what metrics to evaluate the outcome on before starting the work. Facilitate that teams can do continuous evaluation while working.
While you will face a wide variety of work tasks and your workday may differ a lot, this is some of the challenges you might face:
Provide guidance on how to develop a data-informed product strategy.
Plan and hold sessions for product development teams to get an understanding of data analysis.
Create study material and hold classes in "NENT Academy".
Study user behaviour to extract actionable insights that will help to make informed decisions across the business and identify focus areas for development.
Support teams in designing and performing experiments (A/B tests).
Visualise user behaviour and feature evaluations.
Give input on how to improve the existing tracking setup.
Be part of the whole product life cycle for both future and current projects - from ideation to launch, evaluation and validation.
What we are looking for
To be our next Product Data Manager, you are naturally curious and passionate about digital products. You have excellent analytical skills, a customer-centric approach and love making sense of and to structure data. Since educating and developing the teams is a central part of the role, you set up your own structure and material with ease. You are results-oriented and able to work independently on an operational level. As you will be at the heart of things, your communication and social skills will be essential to succeed in this role as you will act as an enabler for change.
Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
Talent for visualising data, preferable with Tableau.
Experience of defining and analysing experiments using online A/B tests.
Solid experience in SQL.
A user-centric approach, with a great interest for the end-user.
Experience of creating study material and hold lessons about analysis.
Solid experience working with product analytics and an interest in working in a product-oriented environment.
Thrive on being at the heart of things and work in a fast-moving team.
Excellent communication skills in English.
