Product Buyer, Infotainment Head Unit

As PRODUCT BUYER, INFOTAINMENT HEAD UNIT you will have a key role in a cross-functional team with responsibility to finalise and optimise the next generation of car line sourcing of the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU) system. You will also secure the project and day to day business and be responsible/support to negotiate the annual result for the current business, perform action as market test etc, needed to optimise the business over time. Your will work in cooperation with colleagues from Purchasing, Procuct Development, Product Planning and Marketing. The IHU system in combination with the Center Stack Display are key strategic parts of the Designed Around You concept in our next generation of car lines.
Infotainment Systems and Connected Services will be an integrated feature in the future connected cars. The main control unit in this system is the IHU. Volvo Cars is now looking for a Product Buyer who wants to take the opportunity to develop as well as contribute and be part of these exciting business areas.
Job profile:
• Lead the team's work in Purchasing, together with Product Development/Product Planning/ Marketing, to perform sourcing actions, secure development and production launch as well as optimise the business over time
• Secure a Market competitive offer over time for Volvo Cars and its customers within the business area of Infotainment Head Unit system and some features/options
• Travelling will be part of the job
Your profile
• Commercial/financial business and/or technical background through education or work experience
• Work experience as product buyer or equivalent
• Solid interest in the area of Infotainment and Connectivity - preferably with experience
• Motivated by identifying new solutions and new business opportunities
• Very good skills in English spoken and written
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Target oriented and enjoy challenges
• Able to manage multi-tasking projects
• Good team player
