The CTST department, located in Halmstad, develops both products and competence related to solid threading tools. We cooperate and interact with Sales, R&D, Product Management, ACES, production units and the Application Centre Network. Right now we are looking for a Product Application Engineer for Threading, located in Halmstad.
Key performance areas
As Product Application Engineer for Threading, you build knowledge through application projects for R&D and customers. Your main responsibilities include:
• Developing machining strategies
• Being the contact for engineered tap products outside CAPP and acting as a bridge between Coromant sales/ACES and PUs
• Supporting Coromant colleagues with training and technical issues related to taps and thread-milling cutters, in cooperation with PM application specialists
• Ensuring transfer of application knowledge via various methods/routes
• Creating technical guides and knowledge documents
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. You have strong experience in cutting tools and machining applications, as well as experience from threading tools and applications. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are prerequisites for the position. Experience from work piece materials, project management, MS Office, CAD and CAM/CNC programming are desirable.
You are a good relationships-builder, who enjoys working in a team and sharing your experience and knowledge with others. You also enjoy working to deadline and handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, you have good ability to write reports and thoroughly understand documentation, while working in accordance with Sandvik's Core Values.
