About the role
The role of the Procurement Project Manager (PPM) is to together with the Head of Procurement Lead buyers and functional managers throughout the business develop the tactical and strategic project portfolio and to document and follow up execution thereof to ensure a constant performance improvement in the region.

The PPM runs key projects in the region and establishes a firm stakeholder management process ensuring improved collaboration with the business, aligned category strategies with EMEA and global counterparts and identification and execution of cross functional procurement synergies.

In that role the PPM is serving as a Project Manager following up on performance measurements throughout the project as well as reviewing project deliverables and lessons learned post project finalization.

The PPM shall also work deep in the spend cube and identify potential initiatives to bring forward to the other procurement colleagues related to vendor consolidations, categorization, reallocation of spend, etc. At times, the PPM shall also perform tenders and other procurement related activities across the entire range of suppliers. Certain travel is expected throughout Region Europe North.

In the role of Procurement Project Manager the main tasks will include:
• Supporting the definition of savings- and improvement programs (scope, goals, deliverables, costs, timescales, plans, dependencies, resource requirements and milestones)
• Ensuring pre-scope project plan is communicated to all project stakeholders together
• Managing strategic procurement key project s in the region (e.g. vendor consolidation projects, internal strategy reviews, full spend reviews with internal stakeholders, etc) and with that being responsible for all aspects of a project from the design stage through to completion
• Submitting progress reports to stakeholders and senior managers
• Setting the standards and methodology to be used by the colleagues in PC REN and throughout the business
• Creating a working environment that allows everyone to work to the best of their abilities
• Taking responsibility of projects through their entire lifecycle
• Communicating with stakeholders to clarify the desired outcome of a project
• Ensuring that all relevant processes are followed on projects
• Regularly review and analyse of the project portfolio of the region and obtain project ideas from other regions throughout EMEA
• Define and Implement project standards across all projects in the portfolio

About you
• We are looking for a candidate with an Engineering degree, MBA or Masters 's degree
• 10+ years of business experience (Industry or Consultant) including project management experience
• Previous experience in running high profile cross functional initiatives aimed at driving structural change either in procurement or in supply
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication- and presentation skills

Furthermore, we see that you have the ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards. You have knowledge and awareness of the different Procurement processes and project management principles, documents and plans

Important for the role:

About the employment
For this assignment, you will be employed as a consultant by Adecco. The assignment will start immediately and initially run for 6 months. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility of continuing as a direct employee at our client.
