hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Malmö högskola i Malmö The position is part of the Internet of Things and People (IoTaP) research profile, a seven-year project which is a collaboration between the IoTaP research center at Malmö University and ten industrial partners.
The Internet of Things (IoT) enables the objects in our environment to sense, act, and share information. In order to develop successful products and services that are meaningful and useful, the perspective of the users must be integrated in IoT research. The research profile focuses on three areas that are crucial for the advance of the Internet of Things:
• interaction technology; how users interact with the connected devices,
• user-centred development; how users can be involved in the development of new IoT services and products, and
• embedded intelligence; how intelligence embedded in the devices can improve the usability and functionality of IoT services and products.
This position concerns mainly research in the area of embedded intelligence, including distributed artificial intelligence and machine learning. The focus is on intelligent connected devices forming a system of different types of sensors, actuators and information processing units. The research will be carried out in application areas that are of interest for the industrial partners, such as energy, transportation, and home automation.

Successful candidates for the position must possess a PhD degree in Computer Science, or related area. The candidates must have completed their degree within three years before the application deadline. Candidates who have completed their degree more than three years ago should receive equal priority if there are special reasons. Special grounds include leave due to sickness or trade unions and student organization work, parental leave or other similar circumstances.

Malmö University is one of Sweden's largest universities with about 25,000 students. Malmö University is organized into five faculties: Health and Society, Culture and Society, Learning and Society, Faculty of Odontology and Technology and Society.
The position is offered at the Faculty of Technology and Society (TS) within the Department of Computer Science. The faculty offers education and research in computer science and media technology as well as engineering and natural sciences. The faculty is in an expansive phase and we are now looking for co-workers who can contribute to teaching and research in computer science. A characteristic of our research and teaching is to a relative high degree include companies and other organization in cooperation. We are located in a new exciting building very close to Malmö Central Station.
Varaktighet, arbetstid
The post doc position is two years, starting in April 2017. The positions normally consist of 80% research in the IoTaP research profile and 20% teaching.
