Position Overview
As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the management andoptimization of our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, ephemeral environments, and production platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of systems across the company. Your ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and your passion for automation and continuous improvement will be essential to driving the team's success.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Automation: Design, implement, and manage
CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate
platform infrastructure provisioning and deployment, ensuring seamless
integration with development workflows and operational scalability.
Operational Excellence: Own the operational health and performance of
both production and pre-production environments. Ensure platform
availability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency by regularly monitoring platform health metrics and optimizing resources.
Ephemeral Environment Management: Build, maintain and support
ephemeral environments for development, testing, and QA. Automate
provisioning and decommissioning of these environments to ensure efficient use of resources and to minimize operational overhead.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering,
development, and product teams to ensure platform services are aligned with development needs. Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and enhance collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.
Performance Monitoring & Incident Response: Utilize monitoring tools
(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to monitor platform performance and
quickly respond to incidents, leading root cause analysis, resolving
performance issues, and implementing preventative measures.
Security & Compliance: Ensure platform infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance standards. Collaborate with security teams to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, proactively implementing fixes and safeguards.
Process Improvement & Innovation: Champion the adoption of best practices, CI/CD tools, and automation frameworks to drive continuous improvements in platform engineering processes. Regularly assess and introduce new tools or methodologies to enhance team performance and platform reliability.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain high-quality documentation for platform processes, including contribution guides, incident handling procedures, and operational best practices. Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team, ensuring clarity and consistency.
Mentorship: Support the development of junior engineers by providing guidance and mentorship in technical skills, troubleshooting methodologies, and platform engineering best practices.
Platform Optimization: Regularly assess platform infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction, ensuring the platform remains efficient, scalable, and responsive to business needs.

Requirements
Leadership: Ability to inspire, mentor, and guide platform engineers and developers in solving complex technical challenges, improving skills, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to resolve issues across various environments (development, pre-production, production) while maintaining operational stability.
Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate across engineering, development, and product teams. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Adaptability: Comfortable with evolving technologies and rapidly changing requirements. Able to pivot when necessary and implement new tools or methods to improve platform engineering processes.
Communication: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to share progress updates, incident reports, and process documentation with internal teams and leadership.
Attention to Detail: A strong focus on precision in platform architecture, code quality, documentation, and troubleshooting processes, ensuring no details are overlooked that might impact system stability or performance.
Continuous Improvement: A mindset of driving change and improvement within the platform team and the wider engineering organization, always seeking to streamline operations and enhance quality.
Security Mindset: An awareness of security best practices and a proactive approach to ensuring platform systems are secure and resilient.
Time Management: Effective prioritization of tasks, balancing project delivery, incident response, and long-term platform optimization goals to meet deadlines and team objectives.
