School of Business, society and engineering is looking for a PhD student in energy and environmental engineering.
The position involves working within the research profile Future Energy. The research of the PhD project will focus on hybridized electrical power systems. The project combines renewable energy sources (such as solar and wind energy and biogas), conversion technologies (such as solar cell and biogas-fired micro gas turbines), energy storage (such as battery storage and thermal storage), heat and power use and associated power electronics, with control of power production and storage using for example limited battery capacity.
The work includes both independent work as well as collaboration with colleagues and cooperation partners such as companies and other universities. Experimental work on e.g. batteries and hybrid-electrical systems, and theoretical modelling (incl. Artificial Intelligence) will be included in the work. The research results are presented at meetings, seminars, conferences and in scientific journals.
Employment is limited and equivalent to full-time studies at the graduate level for 4 years.
