What we offer
You will become a member of one of our agile development teams with great team spirit working with upgrading our customer cars via OverTheAir (OTA) technology. The teams are responsible for both designing and verifying the generic OTA Software Download (SWDL) technologies on a system level within Volvo Cars. In this position you will build and maintain a wide personal network with designers within many different system areas of the vehicle, as well as backend systems and customer service departments. As a part of our teams, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction. The OTA teams are part of the agile release train Common Base Technology (CBT), which forms part of the fundament for all electronic control units in the entire electrical system. In our daily work, we are working according to the SAFe framework with 12 weeks program increment.
What you'll do
You get inspired by our mission to give our customers a better car experience every day. You will use your knowledge within software design and test automation to work together with the team with test development, updates of test cases & methods. Python is the main programming languages used. You will also be involved in OTA system testing activities in the complete E2E chain, from backend IT systems to car specific installation and data analysis work in systems such as Power BI.
You and your skills
You enjoy learning from others, as well as, sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. You communicate well in English and have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in or equivalent within Electrical, Software Engineering, or similar area of education.
We believe that you have following basic skills and qualifications:
• Experience in software development (Python) for enabling automation
• You have experience with continuous integration, automated testing and hands on knowledge about writing automated test cases in Python.
• Knowledge of distributed electrical systems, electrical architecture and systemization of SW development.
Following skills and qualifications will be a plus:
• Experience within SW testing with test tools such as Canalyzer/CANoe
• Experience within data analytics in systems like Power BI
• ISTQB certification or similair
• Knowledge in OTA and SWDL area
• Swedish driver license (B)
