hela Sverige We are on behalf of one of our customer in Gothenburg looking for an Operative Senior Mechanical Designer.
Job description:
The engineer will be included in the customers project performing initial design work & layouts of RoRo equipment (supported by experts). The project is hosted in Gothenburg and will include:
• Lead design work to a contract of one or more pieces of RoRo equipment.
• Supervise a design team of 1?4 persons making detail design
• Report in project organization to the Design Coordinator for a complete contract
• Interact with shipyards and ship owners across the world
• Secure the design delivery to meet all contractual and general customer requirements
• Validate design result cross functionally with all technical areas, purchasing, quality control, installation and aftermarket.
• Perform hands on detail design work as required.
Required competence
• Passion for technical solutions
• Good knowledge in ships design and structures
• Experience from Marine or Offshore industry and/or Naval Architecture degree
• Experience in design of moving equipment/welded steel structures considering function, strength, materials, welding and production process
• Fluent user of AutoCAD
• Skills in Autodesk Inventor, mainly viewing but also modeling
• Ability to work in a multicultural and global team
• Customer focus
• Structured and communicative way of working
• Ability to detect risks and how to eliminate them
• Candidates shall also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish.
• Good and active communication in general, ability to inspire others
• Willingness to sometimes work hard to meet tough targets and customer needs
Start: ASAP
Duration: 10 - 12 months with possible extension.
Location: Göteborg
Work load: 100%
Working language: Swedish & English
