VBN Components AB is a Swedish-owned materials development company, founded in 2008 and based in Uppsala. The company specializes in selling near-net-shaped metal tools and components according to customer drawings, as well as licensing solutions. The products are manufactured directly from powder using 3D printing (additive manufacturing,) technology. VBN's brand, Vibenite®, represents extreme wear resistance, heat resistance, and complex shapes. The Vibenite® materials are patented and offer high-performance products that enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. In 2013 the founders were awarded Sweden's largest innovation prize, the SKAPA Development Scholarship, in memory of Alfred Nobel. VBN is an alumnus of Uppsala Innovation Centre, ranked as the world's fifth-best business incubator according to UBI Global. The company launched the world's hardest steel, Vibenite® 290, in 2017, and the world's first 3D-printed cemented carbide, Vibenite® 480, in 2018. We are currently seeking a dedicated new business sales representative.
VBN Components is a global leader in the development of hard, 3D-printed metals. Their alloys are unique due to their high carbide content and exceptional wear resistance. Among their customers are companies such as ORKLA, SKF, and the US Defense. With recent capital infusion, the company is embarking on several exciting new projects and aims to achieve profitability in 2023.
Responsibilities:
As a Sales Representative, your main responsibilities will include: Prospecting the company's market, potential customers, and all types of leads, as well as scheduling meetings, establishing contacts, preparing and sending quotations and closing sales. Understanding and addressing customer needs, and showcasing how VBN can create value for them and providing feedback from customers is essential
You will represent the company at different events such as conferences and trade shows. When necessary, you will help organize customer seminars where the company's expertise is utilized for technical discussions.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with broad experience in sales. You should have strategic knowledge of the sales process and the ability to drive it from customer identification to closure. Proficiency in both Swedish and English is required. Knowledge of other languages, especially German, is considered a plus. Experience in the industry or manufacturing sector is also considered advantageous.
We place great importance on personal suitability. As an individual, you should be personally committed and have the ability to effectively drive your work and projects forward. You should be able to work independently and take initiatives. Teamwork and strong planning and organizational skills are also important.
Location: Uppsala
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
