Job description
We are looking for a pediatrician subspecialized in neonatology, but can also offer a training position in neonatology for a specialist in pediatrics with interest in neonatology.
At H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital, part of Linköping University Hospital, children and young people between the ages of 0-18 are treated for both medical and surgical illnesses. At our hospital, research and development work is a high priority, and we all work together with the goal of giving children and young people the best possible care and attention.
Our NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) is a level III unit, and one of six university hospital units in Sweden that care for the smallest and most intensive care-requiring new-borns.
We have a neonatal transport organization, and are working on expanding it to be able to carry out more neonatal transports in the southeast healthcare region.
You will work in an environment characterized by joy, responsibility and respect, where family-centered care and teamwork is central. We work actively to participate in clinical studies. There are good conditions for conducting research within the framework of the service.
Requirements
Registered medical license within the EU/EEA
Registered physician with specialist competence in pediatric and neonatology
Basic computer skills
English and Swedish language skills
Personal characteristics
You have a positive attitude, a good cooperative ability and can handle different situations in a constructive way. You enjoy working in teams with different professions. You are responsive and attentive to other people's views, skills and achievements. Your ability to act calmly and controlled is high, and you have a positive and professional approach in your work where family-centered care is the focus.
Terms of employment
Before moving to Sweden you need to reach a certain level in the Swedish language and have your medical training recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare

If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Östergötland, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.
All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary is set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
