Our Exciting Opportunity
Business Area Networks (BNEW) develops Ericsson 's industry leading radio networks products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson's technology leadership. BNEW is committed to securing our growing market leadership in radio and transport, taking a pole position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market.
We are looking for an experienced R&D leader for our Integration & Verification team within the Microwave Test organization. Our test teams are responsible for Quality Assurance in areas of performance testing, system testing and Network testing of our SW & HW releases for the MINI-LINK portfolio including development of test automation. This requires competence in test, SW development and radio-link systems. Knowledge in Continuous Integration and verification is beneficial. The team is tasked to secure testing principles, automation, test methodologies, guidelines and technology leadership. The manager for the Integration & Verification team reports to the Head of Test and is part of the leadership team.
You will
Lead a section consisting of about 20 Verification Engineers and SW Developers, responsible for Verification & Integration for the Microwave portfolio
Actively engage in evolvement of Test Strategy, Test Automation, Test principles, Test methodologies and guidelines
Continuously drive R&D improvements and challenge status quo
Champion collaboration cross teams and sites within MINI-LINK organization
Initiate and motivate changes and improvements in the organization with focus on high quality and efficient flow
Actively participate day-to-day in helping the teams, removing impediments and encouraging continuous improvements
Foster a culture of customer centric innovative testing
Develop competence and capability, mentor and encourage teams to perform at the top of their ability


To be successful in the role you must have
Passion for R&D and proven experience in Quality assurance area
A well-established track record as an R&D leader
Ability to champion a collaborative environment through leveraging people strengths.
Courageous leadership, making timely, fact-based decisions to set the clear direction of behavior through uncompromising integrity
Cultural awareness and ability to navigate in multi-site organizations
Strong track record of leading change and innovation
Excellent people leadership and mentorship
Strong quality and product focus and the ability to connect business to technology
Ability to empower and inspire people through empathy and humanness


Additional Requirements
Technical knowledge in radio-link is an advantage
