We're looking to hire a Merchant Accountant to join our back office team. We are responsible for the financial process around card transactions and alternative payment methods. The team monitors and matches the receipts of funds from payment partners. Key activities to support this consist of cash management and constantly working in process improvement and further automation to help the scale.

You will be joining the team of 10 people who will support you together with the manager to get to know systems and become a true frontier of payments. You'll report to Manager Merchant Accounting. The position is fixed-term 18 months, but there is a possibility of extension.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include
You control the day-to-day financial processing flow:
Ensure daily reconciliation of financial transactions.
Monitor and escalate any issues if and when they occur.
Initiate and ensure timely payments to our global merchants.
You act as the first point of contact for financial/operational contact for various financial institutions and acquiring partners.
Identify reconciliation improvements
Communicate internationally across teams
Owning financial controls and bank reconciliation
Resolve second-line merchant inquiries promptly and accurately.
You assist with month-end invoicing


Skills we can't do without:
As our new Merchant Accountant:
Bachelor's degree
You've got substantial knowledge of MS Office tools
Motivation and passion for learning and developing yourself
Strong analytical skills paired with good communication skills
Ability to structure and prioritize
Full working proficiency in English
