As Mechanical and Piping Engineer you are involved in our entire delivery regarding mechanical design and construction for our Formaldehyde plant projects. You also perform detail engineering on all pipe systems.
The position is located in Perstorp but the assignment will take you to customers all over the world.
What you will do
Carry out preliminary studies, preliminary design and carry out all phases of the project
First point of contact for customers and support/consult them with your technical expertise
Carry out layout work
Design of steel structure, foundations, process equipment and dimensioning of process pipe systems
Produce technical documentation for purchasing, manufacturing and installation of the equipment such as vessels, pumps, heat exchangers
Assist in the purchase of planned equipment and, if necessary, carry out inspections at the manufacturer/supplier
Review supplier drawings and documents
Be advisor to our customer during installation phase
Project coordination
Provide technical competence to our Technical Service and Sales teams
Carry out improvement and development work to strengthen and develop our products

Who you are
We believe you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and previous experience in projects and assignments from pipe and plant construction, preferably in the process, energy, oil & gas or petrochemical industries. You are self-driven, solution-oriented and you aim to continuously improve your surroundings and yourself. You have a great customer focus and a passion for communicating with different stakeholders. Most of all, you enjoy hands-on engineering, troubleshooting and solving problems that stand in your way. Experience in international projects is a merit.
