This role is based here in our Gothenburg office and reports directly to the department Manager.This role is responsible for Mechanical Engineer - Vibroacoustics is to develop new bone conduction applications to improve hearing performance of our customers. The role includes the development of vibroacoustics and mechanical design, optimization of actuator by simulation, building and testing, support the organization with knowledge within the vibrational aspects on bone conduction audiology and prototype testing. The role will partly work closely with product development and clinical testing to provide the necessary understanding of the technical hearing performance of our products.Key Responsibilities Mechanical design & verification of acoustic implantable components compliant with quality, regulatory and manufacturing requirementsSupport development projects of acoustic implantable transducersDefine critical questions for new concepts, create and execute plan to have them answered.Design and evaluate different prototype configurations of bone conduction systems.Increase the knowledge of different aspects of vibroacoustics and actuator design.Develop and apply methods to evaluate concepts.Contribute with improvement ideas on sound processing systems.Develop and integrate technology into future products.Why is this role right for you?You have recently completed an Engineering Degree and looking for a career where you can not only use your knowledge and skills but also work with a product that makes a true difference to people's livesYou have experience in testing, analysis and technical investigationsYou have experience with CAD tools, drawings & mechanical tolerances (Pro Engineer) , MATLABYou have an interest in implantable medical device designYou enjoy solving problemsYou are looking for a role which will use your skills but also work with a product that can change people's livesYou enjoy cross-functional team workYou are comfortable speaking and writing in English at a professional level (Swedish is ideal but not essential)You can feel proud that the work you do helps more people around the world to hear again and live full lives.You will enjoy spacious, modern facilities, surrounded by a beautiful forest in MölnlyckeYou will experience an engaged workplace, motivated team mates and supportive ManagerYou are looking for that next career move where you can utilize your skills but also challenge yourself to learn something new A Little Bit About CochlearCochlear's global mission is to help people hear and be heard.
