hela Sverige The position is placed within the Laboratory, at Volvo Powertrain Site Malmö, Sweden. In Powertrain Engineering in Malmö we are developing leading turbo systems and pioneering technology for Volvo.
We have our customers' satisfaction as our number one deliverable. In our laboratory we perform engine tests of complete engines and engine components.
The engine testing team in Malmö consists of 20 people working in different roles. Our ambition is to be a versatile and flexible testing facility within the Volvo Group. We perform tests in all development stages from advanced engineering to maintenance phase, and we are now looking for a driven mechanic/engineer.
This position will be divided in two major parts.
One part will be to prepare the engine/component before the test with correct parts (ex. turbo, pistons, camshaft, injectors, etc.) according to Volvo internal systems and also mount correct measurement sensors (ex. temperature, pressure, speed etc.).
The other part will be to work with maintenance/service, developing the laboratory equipment and process systems (water-, fuel- and air-system). Your responsibility will mainly be mechanic and fluids related items, while you will have support in the team with the electrical and automation systems.
Qualifications
Technical College Graduate, Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or similar technical education, is preferred.
Good English and Swedish (both spoken and written).
You have a positive attitude and a drive to deliver results in time. You also have ability to interact and cooperate effectively.

We believe that you are an engineer/mechanic with strong trouble shooting and problem solving ability, both in the lab process systems and in engine workshop.
Experience in engine assembly/disassembly is a merit.
