Our Exciting Opportunity
Public Safety and Industries are worldwide modernizing their communication from legacy Land Mobile Radio to Mission Critical PTT over LTE/5G including several new broadband applications over LTE/5G. All these Mission Critical Applications (MCA) will enable new revenue streams for operators. Networks and solutions are emerging right now and will evolve into one of the most important use cases for 5G. New network functions are being developed all over the Ericsson portfolio and needs to be E2E verified including functions like, local redundancy and hardening of network.

Our solution includes Mission Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT) Application Servers and MCPTT Clients which the MCA unit is design responsible for but also several other nodes within Ericsson.

We are now looking for a System Manager for MCA System & Architect unit with focus on characteristics and system performance. When joining the MCA you will be part of one of our global development teams where continous improvements, innovation and sharing knowledge is part of the daily work.

You will
Develop and maintain a traffic model for Mission-Critical Services including group calls, private calls, video and file sharing
Define and communicate solution and product performance requirements to be used in product development
Follow-up result from testing activities, analyze results and initiate action
Ensuring a performance aware development culture, support development teams through design and test
Engage with customers in technical discussions and to collect input from customers regarding their traffic patterns


To be successful in the role you must have
MSc/BSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
Ability to translate market information into system requirements
Previous work with traffic models and performance, preferably for SIP based communication services
Relating and networking skills
Prioritize between different work packages to make sure that what is most important is done. Managing trade-offs between technical and business needs
Break down a long-term vision into small incremental improvement steps
Full proficiency in English, written and spoken
