What you'll do
As our next Manufacturing Engineer you will lead the cross technical product and production manufacturing work, as well as represent the Manufacturing during prepare and implement phases within the commodity area within Volvo Cars. Your main tasks will be to assure a flawless introduction of car programs into our plants. You will lead and coordinate activities within the defined area of responsibility and continuously strive for commonality within all the Volvo Cars plants global. You will also:
* Ensure that you offer input to Analysis and Verification needs
* Drive and follow-up quality, man hours, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility, and change over, the "six manufacturing attributes" within area of responsibility
* Create and upgrade assembly instructions for production
* Create and upgrade FMEA for your defined area and Follow-up of cost within responsible area
Do you fit the profile?
* Technical competence at senior high school or university level or equivalent.
* Practical experience of the production processes and/or design development.
* Driver's license B
* Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Meritorious
* Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools at Manufacturing and Research and Development.
* Skills in Product Development, preferably in automotive industry
* 6 Sigma
* Knowledge in Teamcenter

In order to achieve the above you are open, creative, positive and have the ability to listen to others. In order to fully enjoy the job you are target oriented, you see opportunities rather than difficulties and you have good analytical abilities. Lastly you have a great ability to organize and prioritize your own work task and you enjoy working in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team.
