hela Sverige SSABs division Special Steels is hiring a Manager for Product Development & Product Quality that reports directly to our CTO. Together with SSABs Product Managers and production sites you ensure our position as leading producer of high-strength steels.
The Position
Special Steels is the global leader in high-strength steels and is represented across the globe. Special Steels is responsible for global sales of SSAB high strength steel products. Products are supplied to Special Steels from several SSAB plants, e.g. Oxelösund and Borlänge in Sweden, Raahe in Finland and Mobile Alabama in USA. To strengthen our strategic product development and to secure product quality development we are now building a new organization which you 'll be a part of. The position Manager Product Development & Product Quality reports directly to our CTO and in your team you 'll have product developers and products quality specialists.
Your new mission is to lead our development project within the field of product development and product quality and you will do so in close cooperation with SSABs Product Managers, Specialty Products, R&D and our operations. In addition you are also responsible for the entire division's budget for product development. Special Steels work closely with production sites in Sweden, Finland and USA and you will therefore need to travel as a part of you assignment. Location is preferably Oxelösund but other solutions can be considered.
Challenges
Create new ways of working with Special Steels product development.
Strengthen collaboration with SSABs Product Managers and other interfaces, clarifying responsibilities.
Develop long-term plans for strategic product development focusing on strategic products and Specialty Products.
Secure progress according to plan.
Qualifications
Our candidate has a M.Sc. in materials science or similar and experience from working with product development, previous experience as staff or line manager is appreciated. You are an inspirational leader with communication skills adjustable to suit the target group. You have a gift for networking with different cultures as we expect you to create a large network within our company across the globe. English is a requirement and Swedish would be great.
