AstraZeneca Sweden Operations in Södertälje is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the world. The site supply to 100 different countries and counts for ~40% of the total volume of AstraZeneca's sales, corresponding to $10B in sales revenues. The site has ~3000 employees. The site is also the primary launch within the AstraZeneca network and many of the products in AstraZeneca's exciting pipeline will be launched from Sweden Operations over the next 3 years.

We are now searching for a Logistic Manager to manage and drive a team of 10-15 Logistic Coordinators at one of our production facilities in Södertälje.

The Logistic Manager will be part of the Outbound leadership team within Sourcing and Supply and reports to the Head of Outbound Sweden Operations. The manager will be working closely with the Production, Asset Planners, Finance, Freight Forwarders, the Global Supply Chain community and other functions at the production site.

The position is located in Södertälje, Sweden.

The role
The Logistic Manager role includes leading and development of assigned function and personal. The role is to be executed in accordance with AZ policies and secure GMP/GDP, SHE, AZ Quality Manual and SOX compliance.

The Line manager has a key responsibility to drive a process governance agenda for assigned function and processes as well as secure adherence and coordination with other teams.

* Responsible for people management, performance development and coaching of team members.
* Set strategy for area of responsibility.
* Secure that operational and strategic work within team is performed in an effective and customer oriented way.
* Drive continues improvement agenda within own team and in collaboration with other functions.
* Accountable for any supply disruptions and root cause analysis as well as share best practice with other teams within Planning at Sweden Operations.
* Responsible for creation and tracking of FTE budget for own team in accordance with directions from Sourcing and Supply finance representative.
* Set targets for team and team members according to AZ performance management.
* Drive a lean agenda and continuously improve standards and process for own team.
* Act as sponsor and/or lead projects within area of responsibility.
* Drive an open customer dialog with key stake holders and other line managers with purpose to develop and stream line the organization.
* Represent Sweden Operations in global forums.
* Governance and continuous improvements, including BPM responsibilities.
* Responsible for resource management of team.

Collaboration with other functions, sites, senior stakeholders and customers are of great importance, therefore communication skills are crucial and a key to success.

Required Experience

* 3-5 years in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)
* Excellent language skills - both in the English and Swedish languages
* Proficient in using key Lean Tools
* Excellent communications and collaboration skills required to manage a multitude of customers and stakeholders, both internal and external to AZ.

Preferred experience/requirements

* University (Master's) degree in Supply Chain Management related field (e.g. Industrial Engineering and Management, Operations Management, etc.), or Bachelor's degree with additional relevant work experience
* Significant experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory management, Supply Chain Management) including metrics
* Experience in participating in the S&OP process
* SAP ERP (MRP) knowledge
* Project and change management experience
* Experience in leading teams
* Ability to work collaboratively without direct supervision and a large degree of independence with a wide network across the international business
* Understanding of business financials
