Be part of the change.

Nothing beats being part of positive change. We're on a truly exciting journey, working together in a fast-paced global environment to break new ground in almost every aspect of our operations. Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in Inbound Logistics.

What's in it for you?
At Inbound Logistics, you are part of a global supply team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. To make this happen, we secure that all incoming transportation is designed, established, optimised and executed, cost efficiently and with exact precision, to the entire Volvo Cars EMEA organisation. We are searching for an ambitious and driven individual that is happy to take responsibility and make their own decisions based on available information weighted against risk. This role is a key part of the Inbound Operations EMEA team and will support both Multi Modal (premium, train and overseas) as well as Road Operations EMEA teams based in Sweden.

What you'll do
You should be able to work fixed evening shift hours as the position will work permanent evening shift (15.00-22.42) daily Monday to Friday and be based between the office environment and the production environment in our Torslanda plant. During your initial training period (1-2 months) you will need to work dayshift to learn the roles and systems, however once you are up to speed you will transition to the evening shift. The role works closely with all Inbound Logistics colleagues as well as our stakeholders (production plants, aftermarket, R&D, Consolidation centres) and our carriers that are located across Europe.

Do you fit the profile?
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of logistics and the European transport market and you also might have a degree or equivalent in Logistics or related subject as basis for your career. If you have experience from a forwarder or in house logistics team this is seen as an advantage. Equal amount of experience from supply chain, another OEM or tier 1 supplier is also of interest. In order for you to fully enjoy this position, you should be a real team player as you will interact with many different functions but also be confident and able to work alone. This role will suit you if you are a quick learner and have excellent interpersonal skills including fluency in English both written and spoken, as that will be your daily working language. We also think that you are comfortable taking decisions in line with the wider organizational objectives but are savvy enough to know when to escalate. You also thrive on multi-tasking and can prioritize work in a calm way even under pressure. In the work life you act with a risk awareness in mind and avoid risk averse thinking.
