Nevertheless, this paradigm shift in the automotive industry introduces new security and safety challenges that used to be more associated with "IT Security" and "Aviation Safety", respectively. This is where the Cybersecurity and Functional Safety Group comes into the picture not only to strengthen prevailing safety expertise and culture but also to address contemporary security and safety risks of electrical and/or electronic systems of vehicles and transport solutions.About the positionWe are aiming for strengthening our functional safety team with your personal touch in defining our future direction. Responsibilities of this position rely on your in-depth knowledge in functional safety and hands-on experience of dealing with relevant technical challenges to be able to "Challenge the Impossible!".You will contribute as a technical leader in functional safety. You identify functional safety requirements of our products as well as propose technical concepts and solutions. You work actively in specifying and reviewing functional safety and technical safety concepts to enable development of quality-assured products. You contribute to the implementation of the ISO 26262 standard in terms of processes, methods and tools, considering the entire lifecycle of our products. You support engineers to perform ISO 26262 specific activities during product development and contribute to knowledge management in the area.This position offers numerous possibilities of interacting with people, experts and engineers across different organizations within Volvo Group and external entities. Who are we?Cybersecurity and Functional Safety Group is Center of Excellence and Expertise in Product Cybersecurity and Functional Safety within Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The group currently consists of twelve technical specialists, experts and rookies in cybersecurity and functional safety. We make up a solid foundation of competence in functional safety and cybersecurity within Volvo Group. Our work spans the entire lifecycle of vehicles - from concept phase to operational vehicles on road. We provide functional safety and cybersecurity frameworks to enable developing quality-assured products.
