We are now looking for a Lead Engineer for Side Impact within Attribute Safety area!
Description
The Vehicle Safety Team, that you will be part of, is incorporated within Body, Interior and Creative Design inside the Technical Development Organization. You will part of a team of Engineers, with your primary responsibility for attribute Side Impact. The Lead Engineer primarily collaborates internally with other Lead Engineers, CAE, technical specialists and externally with suppliers.
The role involves:
- Lead the Side Impact Integration Team involving Lead Engineers, CAE and Testing
- Define attribute targets based on Legal, Marketing and Internal requirements
- Define Vehicle Requirements based on Program Order.
- Ensure that attribute requirements are broken down to appropriate level in all ingoing systems to achieve vehicle attribute fulfillment.
- Communicate attribute requirements to component and system owners and support development work
- Keep updated on future legal requirements and consumer ratings
- Develop Attribute Validation plan for Side Impact based on test and simulation
- Ensure that attributes requirements are fulfilled, following the VDP time plan
- Track and report attribute performance to Product Profile targets and Vehicle requirements.
- Initiate relevant benchmark activities.
- Initiate and support development of Validation Methods - RLM
- Plan long and short-term activities
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Engineering experience from Vehicle Safety Area, 8 years or more
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Driver license B
