Job description
We are now looking for a new team member for our client ECDC in Stockholm. You will work as a Junior Scientific Expert and support the PHF Unit (Public Heath Function Unit) with a focus on Emergency Preparedness and Response Support. This is a temporary assignment starting immediately. For the right person there is a good chance of extension.

Requirements
Essential:
Experience in public health
Some exposure to preparedness and response work
Excellent communication (spoken and written), organisation and coordination skills
Very good English language skills

Desirable:
Experience in working with countries
Experience in multi-sectoral collaboration
Experience with project management

Tasks
Support the ECDC task of conducting assessments to all EU/EEA countries based on the EU cross-border threats to health regulation (to start in 2024), specifically related to the monitoring and assessment of EU member states' state of preparedness.
Remotely support European countries in emergency preparedness and crisis response, including supporting after action reviews, simulation exercises and epidemiological studies.
Support the administrative and logistic preparation of the abovementioned operations and prepare related standard operation procedure.
Support the EPRS work on incorporating lessons learnt & after-action reviews.
Contribute to the response duty function, taking on weeks of duty during working hours.
