Consultant assignment as Junior Scientific Expert in Vaccine Preventable Diseases
On behalf of our client we are now looking for a candidate to work in a team to contribute to the outbreak response activities, in a multi-cultural European organization. This assignment is placed in Stockholm
The role
The role as Jr scientific expert is administrative and will focused on Vaccine Preventable Diseases.
The assignment will start 1th of May and last until 6 months, with chance to be prolonged.
Tasks
The consultant shall be requested to perform various tasks in the expert group focusing on Vaccine Preventable Diseases including:
• Contribute to - and support the work on establishing a platform for information sharing on the introduction of new vaccines in national immunisation schedules (cooperation with WHO Europe)
• Assist the monitoring of a collaborative project between EU member states and covering immunisation topics, which includes budget monitoring, project progress monitoring.
• Assist in the follow up of the activities with EU member states on the introduction of menigoccocal B vaccination in Europe
Some other working task could be e.g. finding information, rapid risk assessment and contributing to the reports. Assist with development and implementation of surveillance systems, detection and assessment of emerging threats in the EU.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Degree, or equivalent, in relevant natural science at university level
• Experience in vaccine preventable diseases
• Experience in public health and preferably knowledge of EU-system
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English
Skills and Capabilities
• Able to work collaboratively is crucial
• It-software skills (MS Office)
• Attention to details, highly organized, able to plan and control own workload effectively and manage expectation of others
