The Global Headquarters for Volvo Financial Services is seeking a candidate currently pursuing a degree in innovation, design, business administration or a related field to serve as an Innovation Intern during the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 academic year. This internship is also open for students looking to gain practical experience with techniques and processes for innovation management and service design.
What you will do
At Volvo Financial Services you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As an Innovation Intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with passionate innovators across functions of Volvo Group and engage with fintech startups. You will also develop in-depth analysis on topics relevant to VFS innovation agenda, competitive benchmarking, and support to drive key ecosystem engagement programs.
Your starting point will be to, together with your colleagues at VFS and in the broad cross-functional network at the Volvo Group, work within the VFS Innovation Lab (iLab) as it strives for new services creation through venture development and strategic partnership. Our mission is to accelerate service commercialization by externalizing development, incubate business ventures through direct access to markers and cultivate an innovation ecosystem with internal and external partners.
Your future team
You will report to the Innovation Manager of the VFS Innovation Lab. In VFS, we demonstrate a clear vision to continue Transforming Together, a global mindset and a proven track record of successfully developing people, teams, culture and leadership.

This position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

We believe the successful candidate is motivated with relevant experience or proven curiosity, and the ability to learn in service design and innovation management, along with the following qualifications:
Essential Skills and Required Experience
Students in business administration, service design, digital design, entrepreneurial finance, or a related field.
Solid understanding in human-centered design
Good knowledge of financial services and transport industry
Entrepreneurial, experimental and self-driven
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, additional language a plus
A big plus is hands-on experience in startup/venture sector, service design, or innovation project management.
Available for at least 6 months (30-40 hours per week)
