Join Scania as an Integration Architect - Shape the Future of Smart Manufacturing
Scania is on an exciting journey of transformation, driven by new business models and Industry 4.0. We're rolling out a robust MES/MOM system and a standardized ERP backbone to modernize our industrial IT landscape. This shift will redefine how we operate-and we're looking for a talented Integration Architect to join our Shopfloor IT organization and help lead the way.
As part of our central Shopfloor IT platform team, you'll be at the heart of designing and implementing scalable, secure integration solutions from MES towards ERP, SCADA, and Industrial IoT platforms. Your work will enable seamless data flow between shopfloor systems and enterprise IT, powering real-time visibility, analytics, and smart manufacturing.
Job responsibilities -
You will:
• Define end-to-end integration architecture for MES, ERP, SCADA, and IoT.
• Design secure, high-performance interfaces for diverse shopfloor applications.
• Lead the selection of integration platforms and protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, REST, SOAP).
• Represent MES layer and collaborate with ERP, PLM, automation, and OT teams to build robust data pipelines.
• Support hybrid edge-to-cloud environments and ensure data governance and integrity.
• Advocate for reusability, scalability, and standardization across Scania's manufacturing sites.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and industry standards (ISA-95, ISA-88, IEC 62443).
Who You Are
You're a purpose-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments.
You bring:
• A degree in Computer Science, Industrial IT, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• 8+ years in manufacturing IT/OT, with 3+ years in integration architecture.
• Strong experience integrating MES, ERP, PLM/PDM, SCADA, and IoT platforms.
• Proficiency with APIs, message brokers (Kafka, MQTT), OPC UA, and edge computing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and IIoT ecosystems.
Bonus points for:
• Experience with data lakes, historians, and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certifications in enterprise or cloud architecture (e.g., TOGAF).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
